Our leather is the highest quality oil tanned leather tanned in Milwaukee, WI from North American Steer. The excellent durability and water repellent properties of oil tanned leather make it perfect for boots, shoes, and leather accessories. The tanning process uses natural oils, making the leather soft, pliable, and giving it its natural water repellent properties. There is little maintenance with oil tanned leather because the presence of oil keeps the leather pliable and moisturized for a long period of time. These oils shift within the leather creating beautiful character and patina throughout its lifetime. Our products vary in leather weight depending on the use of the product to ensure durability and quality. 

We specifically look for hides that have imperfections such as brands, stretch marks, or other imperfections. We incorporate these imperfections into our products to create unique leather goods. 

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Our leather comes from Seidel Tannery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Because it is an oil tanned leather, natural variations in leather color will change with exposure to the elements over time adding to its beautiful character. It will show marks from everyday wear, making it uniquely your own. There are natural markings, scars, scratches, and wrinkles throughout the leather making no two products the same. This leather may be susceptible to damage, stains, and color transfer to and from surfaces.  Oils/dyes from food may leave stains as well as ink from pens/markers/etc.

Reduce visibility of dirt with damp, soft cloth. Do not rub in one spot or apply too much pressure for an extended period of time if cleaning as this may cause damage to the leather. Some stains may not come out of oil tanned leather.

Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight.

Use a dry cloth to wipe off any water that the bag may be exposed to. Some leathers may be susceptible to water stains.
